I thought air fuel meter maybe... but I hate assumptions.

The Aeromotive piece is prone to failure, TPIS used to make an adjustable one.

Otherwise convert to AN fittings and your choices are many.

Why do you think you need one?

If you had said AFPR we might have gotten it.

Running a Golen 383 Forged stroker, custom grind cam, intake ported by LE w 30 lb injectors on stock AFPR and high flow fuel pump. Golen's paper work that came w motor says a AFPR is required for this build and I justed had a couple dyno pulls done and it was rich at idle and running out of fuel at WOT. Before anyone asks, the tune is by pcm4less.

Now if you had gotten a decent engine builder maybe you could have gotten decent advise to go with the engine.

Stock regulator should work just fine with a mediocre build like that, hell some guys use stock regulators at a LOT more power than your's will make.

Moving onto the next ?

What would cause motor to be too rich at idle and run out of fuel at WOT if not fuel pressure?

Lol... an afpr is not going to help.

It's either the tune, weak fuel pump, or not enough injector.

The rich at idle is 100% on the tuner. Assuming that info was gathered objectively, and not just "it smells rich".

^ What Gregrob said.

Tune, Pump, Injectors.

What was the horsepower?

Tune by Pcm4less

New Walpro High volume pump

SVO 30lb

A/F is 13.9

Max HP-404, Max TQ-440

Statements made in regards to richness at idle and running out of fuel at WOT were obtained from the shop where dyno pulls were done.

Your injectors are to small. Should run 42s.

You don't need to change the pressure.

Also your tune is off then if you are rich at idle.

Interesting comments.

Injectors were chosen for custom build.

30lbs injector at 43.5psi at 80% duty with a BSFC of .5 (N/A Engines generally) only supports roughly 380bhp.

Yes you could up the PSI and it will act like a bigger injector because more pressure with each opening of the injector more fuel will flow out.

A 30lbs injector at 58psi will act like roughly like a 35lbs. Which is still to low for your horsepower.

EDIT:

Wait this is a engine dyno? 400bhp?

Because that makes a big difference.

These numbers are from the 7th pull on a dyno done 2 months ago. Had vehicle dyno'ed to insure all was working well after install of this motor and pro race built tranny. As you can see, I have some issues. Trying to figure what to do. Haven't been to the track in 4 years and I have the itch again and am very curious to see how this set up responds. Trying to get into the 11's.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what the pressure is at idle and wot thru the pull...
