Ever get the car tuned after the 3.73 gear change?

VSS is what controls the speedometer. It picks up the tailshaft speed. I've never seen anyone say one has gone bad. Although I don't usually read speedometer problem threads.

Let someone else chime in.

Usually if the VSS goes bad it will read 0, not peg out.

pull the sensor and make sure there is no build up or metal stuck to it.
