It's a nice car... just not a >$14k car.
My Trans Am had higher mileage- and less than half of the asking price that 97 has. I also bought it from the original owner.
But the trade off was that it had every repair, service ticket, etc- basically every shred of paper was saved since it was delivered new. And yes... in showroom condition.
If your friend really wants a nice Fbody- he'll find one. Good things come to those who wait.

The dealer's story is that some old lady brought it in for a trade in on a new GTR. I guess they have pictures of her on facebook with her new car or some **** ( sounds like b/s to me ).
Anyhow one of the salesmen told my buddy they gave her 10k on trade in for it, the next day the sales manager told me and him both " I wish we could have got that car for 10k, unfortunately we didn't we had to work to get it" Meaning they paid more then 10k on trade in for it.
I think that is b/s as well, I would really like to have seen them offer the person 10k or more for that car.

Hey:
Show him, this. https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...-m6-black.html. Thats a LS1 car for sale on the forum. If he wants a LT1 TA see if Joe still wants to sell his car member RamAir95TA.

Saw this and was thinking of you...
http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/3031209628.html
Thats not far at all from you, but it is a 93. Some people dog on speed density cars, but people who know the SD system and how to tune love them. I think there is a learning curve but easy to do also.
Needs some body work, but get it without the system and rims and have a nice 60k mile car to start modding!
4000$ is alot more appealing then 14!
