Default help!

car was driving fine yesterday i added some oil and spilled a little. so naturally i grabbed a towel to clean it up. i then drove to the gas station to get gas, cause i was low, and immediatly noticed that my car had lost power. i got to the gas station and popped the hood. when i wiped of my engine i accidently pulled one of the vaccum lines off near the passenger side on the top of the intake manifold. i put it back on but still have no power and my car sounds funny. no check engine lights or anything and still have no power. what could i have done? did i throw off my timing? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Guessing the problem is unrelated. Just how much spilled oil are we talking here?

Is this the area where you unhooked the hose from?

This is the PCV valve. Your valve might be stuck and in need of a cleaning or replacement. They get gummed up with oil and grease sometimes. It just pulls out. Clean it with brake cleaner or solvent.

The line running from the valve cover to the throttle body? I can't see why that would cause a problem unless it sucked up a pile of oil. Take it off and clean the sensor area with brake cleaner, let it dry, reinstall and see if that helps.

Check wires first of all. Where did the spilled oil travel to?

Sounds like the black module would be the map sensor. Goto www.shbox.com and see if u can spot the module to have better info to give us. Scan it and look at live data.

Even if you hooked it back up, check to see that you didn't crack the plastic lines that the rubber connects to. They become brittle over the years and can crack and cause a vac leak still. I cracked the one for the EVAP that goes under the throttle body after I apparently looked at it wrong lol.
