250$ would be reasonable. it would cost almost triple that to take it to a shop and have it done

I took mine to a place that charged me 4.6 hours just to change the wires. It was over 400 bucks. Was it too much? Sure it was. I changed the plugs myself but could not bring myself to tackle that after my plug changing experience.

I was told they were the factory wires and the car has 160K on it.

Id say hotwings and pizza and beer while he works, beer and steak for dinner when hes done. Its a full 6 hour job, a steak at the end wont be enough.

if hes done it before its really not even a big deal. especially if you still have manifolds.. headers can be a little more tideous but... ya a nice steak and beer should be ok.. i didnt even know a guy and i was gonna do it for $50 he supplied parts

think you have that *** backwards. its way easier to change my plugs and wires with headers then it was with manifolds..

When I first got my car I had a shop wanting to charge me 1750$ for plugs, wires, intake gaskets, opti. I did it all myself with all the best parts for 700$.

Hell I'm an amazing friend then I guess...I did full headers for free (well he did buy as much food as I wanted though, not much of a drinker but i'll smash on some food). OP, seriously though parts and everything say 700$ I would say on top of that 200-300$. This thread got me thinking, I should probably re-route my MSD wires at some point. I believe I have one zip-tied to a motor mount or something.

This is what I would get:

GM High Performance Opti or MSD Opti of your choice
NGK Iridium Plugs
MSD Super Conductor Wires 8.5mm (or do over the valve cover wires)
New Water pump with gaskets
Underdrive Pulley (got to remove the balacner anyways)

i was basing it off labor times for opti and plugs on alldata. opti is 3.2 and plugs are 2.7. my shops labor time is $125/hr so it would come out around 740$ before tax and shop supply charges and other dealership bs that gets thrown in.

and camaro350, i have hookers, dont have any experience with pacesetters sorry. it takes me like 15-20 minutes to change plugs on my car though. the only one i cant get from up top is #8 but can easily get to it crawling under my car.
