Default replacing w/p what to do while im there?

the car is a 96 z28. im replacing the waterpump in it ( currently off the car
)i have a few questions now that i have it torn apart.

so i will be deleting the air pump and the egr soon. just going to install headers without the fittingsand then get a tune. can i go ahead and pull the air pump and lines now? i know it will throw a code since it obd2 but im not concerned about the code. im concerned with what kind of a condition it will cause for the motor? rich/lean? nothing at all? lol. the car is also already throwing an egr code so i might also just block those off while im at it. what are your thoughts on this as well.

You're fine if you block everything off.

Do you already have headers? Why buy new ones if you do? When i deleted my emmisions crap I plugged up the fittings with pennies if i remember correctly...some coins..put like 5 i think in each side then screwed the metal fitting things back in and ran the rubber house down n out of sight so everything still looks legal lol they dont leak btw

so while i was there i did the tb bypass and the air pump delete. everything went well. only question i have now is what are the two vac lines coming from the opti for? i know what they are for basically but one of them with the check valve on it has been removed from its vac source and has been capped on the other side of the valve. i need to know where this goes.

It's looped from a vacuum port off the drivers intake, down to the opti, back from the opti into the bellows. Vent line from bellows draws filtered air into the opti and then into the intake plenum.

if your opti vent harness was plugged, removed, you REALLY need to pull the opti and open it up. very strong chance there is crud inside because it was not vented. clean or replace accordingly

shoebox.com will have a great deal of 411 to look at how vent lines, and anything else, is run on LT1 motors

well i have everything hooked back up now. it was a pain to get to but i had spare vac line from the air delete witch made it easier. i know i should pull the opti but it seems to be running fine and i dont want to mess with it and make it not work fine. i guess im trying to say dont fix what isnt broken. i would have it running but one of the pcv breather lines crumbled in my hand when i went to put it on. fml
