Default Quick LT4 Hotcam Question

I found a really good deal on a lt4 hotcam kit, brand new. I want to put it into my 96 z28, will everything bolt right up? Will there be any rocker clearance issues?

Just want to be sure before I bite the bullet and buy it.

Thanks

It will bolt right up. It's a good idea to change the springs to a some with a higher spring rate; especially if you have some miles on your LT1. I ran that cam in my 96 with AFR heads; it is IMO the best streetable cam out there.

The kit comes with every thing you need to make it run except for a tune

...which if you don't plan on doing then don't buy the cam kit at all.

Very common for people to just assume you can throw a cam in without a tune and just go tear-assing around town. Not the case.

I ran the Hot Cam kit for a year. I drove it for two weeks untuned and passed MA state inspection. When I finally had it tuned, holy crap what a difference. So plan on getting it tuned in your budget.

Why did you quit running it?

Thanks guys for the info, the car is gonna be for my gf to use as a nice daily. I just wanted to give it a bit more power for when I'll be driving it.

I'll for sure look into getting a tune then.
