Default what's going on here

Last night I took my car up to cecil. Mods in sig, ran 13.6 and 13.7 all night. Had a pair of et streets on the back, 26x11.5x15, running 16lbs. Best I ran on street tires before I did the cam was a 13.5.

Sounds like I'm spinning off the line. When I get down the track and hit 3rd gear it sounds like the car is bogging down. Thought I fixed this problem when I put in a walboro fuel pump. Fuel pressure is at 39psi at WOT. Not running a tune at the moment but I would think I'd still run a better time then before the cam on street tires. Any opinions/help would be great, thanks.

So you're running a CC304 untuned? I'd say that's a big problem. You can't expect to run any decent times until you get a tune despite the 304 being comparatively small to other aftermarket cams.

The DA last night at Cecil around 7:30pm was 1844so that's not really favorable for impressive ETs.

Get your 60' down, get a real torque converter, get the car tuned, and go back on a cooler dryer night and you (should) see sub 13-second passes.

Does it make a different that it's a 07-304-8 instead of a 08-304-8? I know the specs are different on those cams. And money is tight right now so I'm just trying to get it running alright, not really a priority changing converters right now.

get a tune atleast a mail order for now..... but don't feel bad i lost to a sleeper mustang last night =(

I would say the DA was your thief. I run 2-3 tenths slower in the summer months compared to spring and fall.

Your runnning a cam untuned and wondering why you've gone backwards on performance?? It don't matter what DA is/was Or what converter your using or Ever will untuned .SMH

I know I need a tune. I just thought it would run a better time with out one, compared to having a stock cam and street tires. I guess that's next on my list.

Air up your tires to around 20psi also. My ET streets hook nicely with 22lbs.

Huh, that's about 20 minutes from me. I'm over here in Cockeysville, which is a few minutes from Timonium. If you're ever out here, hit me up.

Maybe once I get my clutch in, I'll try to ride out to Cecil with you. As long as I don't blow up a 10 bolt, I'll be happy.

DA at 1844 I would like to run in that! You do have issues though, gotta have a tune and a.converter!
Hell, I run 12.9 with bolt ons at 3000' DA.

You guys should come down to MIR this friday night for test n tune, its only $20, could make a meet out of it. They probably have the good track prep your needing to help your 60'. I live 20 minutes north of the track right off of 301.

That's what I started at was 20psi. Just spun tires out of the hole. Even spun with 15lbs in it, so I'm thinking it was more so the track, but will try 20psi at super chevy this weekend and see what happens.

Posted on monodax looking for a bin file that might match my mods. I tried reading the lt1 tuning tutorials, but I get pretty lost half way through. I have tunercats and a moates cable. I also don't have the money for a mail order or a converter this week lol :S

Did you try just leaving off idle? Or were you just footbraking it as hard as you could?

i left at idle my first pass, and the rest i was bringing it up to 12-1400
