LT1 block strength
Also, if Dart made an LT1 block, guaranteed someone here would have it already.
AI did supply some heads and such for an over 1000rwhp turbo car. We don't really know a lot about the car though. Don't know if the boost was left turned up or how long the shortblock held.
I would go the iron block Bowtie for the LSx and build a monster from there. Don't know if you could make your ultimate numbers yourself, but it would be a much more straight forward build and fit into your car.

GL with those awd 1500+rw ugr car guys.
Most of those guys have huge bankrolls, budget and cheap is not part of there vocabulary.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
If you really wanna get 1,200 RWHP BEFORE a 200 shot, you should spend time before money and you'll learn a big cube LQ9 power plant is the way. And you'll certainly spend big bucks.

There is a video youtube of a blue C6 with 1500rwhp, has a chute off the back.
Shows him running for a 60 or so roll.
It spins for about 300 feet, in 100 feet of spinning against the AWD Lambo the race is over right there, the Lambo will not spin.
I have the engine for a 1000 rwhp LT1 for cheap, PM me if interested, it's all new.

Also I read that straight in mains like the factory vette block are stronger than splayed mains.....or so I think I read it somewhere.
Lots of people have turbo knowledge, I dont know of one Nelson engine in competition or any series.
Better off picking Z8's cranium.
When I worked at Borg Warner buildin T56s for these cars & transfer cases. There was a IRS 4th gen Z28 but never any AWDs in R&D LoL From what Ive been told splayed mains are strong ,But if the machine shop ***** up itll hit water jackets Guess it has to do with the degree on the splayed main caps So I found an LT4 block & that was luck after I bought splayed caps. Sold those & gonna use my LT1 block for a stock build on my SAS S10
The OP better be sure he dowel pins the mains too!!! Last edited by warriorcustoms; Jul 22, 2012 at 11:51 PM.
