2012 LTX Shootout
I'm in the same situation as last year... a fully built car ready to tear it up except needs tuned. I can't find anyone to tune it who isn't at least 4 hours away. Even then, I don't trust just anyone with my car. Tuning is the only thing holding me back but I'm so close to buying the 24x setup since ls1 tuners are easy to come by. Seems like a lot of work just for one last step.
Well more bad news, Now the casing on the tranny may be hosed, He said bolt holes in the tranny are stripped, he is going to try and helicoil them but something about the casing that might be un salvageable....
Yup,Thats stronger but now my wallet is getting weaker lol, but its that something about the case he was talking about, I really didn't listen cause it was disappointing when I heard the case may be trashed...

Its going to come down to the weather report for that weekend for me, if it is going to be hot and sunny and not rainy in Clay, WV, thats where I am going to get drunk on a river with 10 college friends I havnt seen in a while, but if its moderate to shitty conditions in WV, Ill be going to BG.

Get 27" tires mounted and balanced
new clutch master and slave
new clutch
buy and install new valvesprings
install new rockers
add 65lbs
work 60-70 hours a week
*EDIT* Here is my new brilliant plan I thought of:
Get the tires done
Do the slave and master
leave the stock clutch
do the rockers/springs
SCREW THE TAHOE, drive the Camaro. Go camping thursday to friday night, leave friday night drive 6 hours to BG get to BG at 6am, race till 6pm, leave with my GOLDEN OPTI and drive 6 hours back to WV only missing 1 day of drinking.
Thats my plan as of now.

Dam, That got me going! lol, Tranny came back good, got it installed on Sunday,after it fell off the jack 3 times, Hit me in the head twice and on the arm once, Needles to say I was not a pleasant person to be around if you know what I mean, now just to hook up the exhaust, install the torque arm and have the new 1350 yoke pressed onto the drive shaft. Getting closer.
Lame. You are thinking of blowing off the LTX Shootout to go drinking with friends that you've drank with 100x before. Trust me, there is a party after the shootout that you will have a lot of fun at. You'll be drinking beer and doing shots with Tony Sheppard, Justin from GMHTP, and every other heavy hitter in the LTX world. Chris from the Nitrous Outlet will be there and he is literally a 1 man party. You will remember this event as the best car-type gathering you've ever been to.
