2012 LTX Shootout
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
I will be there hanging out with the croud and meeting some of you that are interested in meeting me for the first time and of coarse seeing some of you guys again.
We will be leaving here early (6 AM or so) on Fri morning and heading that way. I am guessing about a 12 hr drive but have not actually checked for sure yet.
Will be coming along with a freind/customer and his turbo LT powered 98 GMC truck. Should be able to make it interesting for Tony S. Both are well aware of each other and know what each other run down here in Texas.
Regardless of win/lose it will be agood time had by all that attend the shootout.
Ill see you guys in about 11 days.
Nah, it was actually about all I can do to sponsor the event, travel, hotel and make the event while missing work and time with family. Entire deal will cost about $1000 so unfiortunately I will nbot be giving away any free camshafts, LOL.
I will be talking and chatting with anyone around and about the best I can do this time of year wlould be a Goldschlager or Jager-Bomb for the fastest ET of the day (not necesarrily in finals).
Anyone that cam should definiotely come and hang out the night before the race and of coarse after the race as well.
There is more to it than just what goes on at the track (and that is a BAD *** track!!!!!!).
I just got laid off work and now have the time to be able to at least come hang out at the shoot out. Just comes down to affording to go now..

I wish Stefan would show up and run but he is going to a different race. If he runs x275 he's going to be going up against a field of high 4 second cars (1/8th). I hope he's been out testing and tuning. Haven't heard boo from him or Sikora or Ellis.
Lots of show to enjoy even if eliminates but still, run YOUR game and let the match up place you against a faster car and let THEM beat you on the tree. Until then, you keep on advancing.
One red light or car breaking is all it takes to win a round against a faster car. Against a slower car you just gotta handle the tree and not break. Nothing to it but do do it.
I talked with Stefan last week and he cant make the Yellowbullet race either he has as work comitment but Tyree may show up at the shootout with his car for him.

I don't have room to talk, I thought for sure I would be ready for this years shootout but I'm sitting on a finally completed motor with no car to go in since I still need to do a ton of supporting crap.
I keep getting distracted by other hobbies and let the car sit for achingly long periods of time before I work on it for a few weeks then stop again

Still savin for an S60 & rebuild for the 4L80E Hope Yall have a ton of fun & everything goes off without a hitch
