Default 11 sec stroker is slower now with more mods and less weight!

Just like the title says, I have a forged 383 lt1 with stock heads, cc xfi292 cam, gasket matched heads and intake with 58mm tb, 1.6 rr's, 36lb injectors, long tubes. And a built tranny....I had all this in my 94 z last year which weighed over 4000lb with me in it and ran a k&n cai, I used to go cinsistant 11.90 with a stock stall trapping 116.88mph with 1.8 60' time.....
Now the new set up is a 95 firebird swapped to a 02ws6 clone with the same motor and now I have a yank ss 4k and have gotten into the 1.4 60 time but its consistant at 12.0(7 passses all 12.0) and now the car uts in also weights only 3550 with me in it and ram air for forced air, I also put a granetelli maf and added a **** load of timing and it still diddent help.. I'm only trapping 110 now for **** sakes lol the motor has 8.25:1 compression and was built for boost but still have got that far yet, trying to figure out what the problem is.......only thing I dident change was the fuel pump because the guy I got the roller from said it already had a 255 and it doesent cut out or anything.......any ideas?

You are seriously running a forged 383 with stock heads and horribly low compression for N/A??? How are you not still in the 13's???? And how the hell did you get a 4th gen camaro to weigh 4000lbs??? This does not add up at all.

What about the rear in the cars?? Are they all the same ratio? Maybe (hopefully not) the motor stating to die. Do a compression check on all the cylinders, wet and dry. And a 58 mm tb does seem to be small in my opion. Dont know the LT1 that well though.

The granatelli probably HURT you, at best it is unreliable garbage and more often than that it screws up AFR.

Another thing to look at since the 60ft is good would be valve float up top.

Many of your claims are extremely questionable, your claims of 4000lbs f-body and 11.9s NA on 8.25 compression. IMO your weight is inflated and the compression calculated badly.
Using 58cc chamber and .049 gasket .025 down in the hole and a -31cc piston is still 8.5.
Then the weight is pretty wild claim.

Ummm...that's the biggest you can buy for an LT1 intake besides a monoblade. The stock one is twin 48MM. That's plenty of TB.

The LT1 48-52-54-58mm TB are DUAL blade.

As someone else already said the only bolton TB bigger is a large oval monoblade that is really only worth considering on max effort solid roller builds.

Have you logged some data yet to see if you're maxing out injectors or the PCM pulling timing? If the pump is questionable you may not be getting the fuel it needs.

I ran some -18 cc dish pistons on my old set-up and with a .039 gasket and .010 in the hole with 58 cc comb chambers, I was running 10.00 or slightly less.

If it was valve float it would have done it in my old set up, im still shifting at 6800, and i ran it with my stock maf before swapping to the granatelli and it diddent help or hurt it...idk wth is going on...

The scale that told you 4100 was just plain wrong. To get an f-body up to that you would have to add substantial obvious weight.

With pistons down .025 meaning the block not decked, 56cc chambers and a stock .049 gasket you would be just barely shy of 10:1 with a zero deck and a Felpro gasket that is almost 10.8..

Valvesprings in a performance application are a WEAR ITEM and with use wear out and begin to float so while it is possible your exact setup didn't float last year in the old car it still could this year regardless of what car it is in.

This stuff is really really basic.

they dont even have 1k miles on them...if they wore out that fast id hate to see the ones with 100k plus miles, and lets say the weight is messed up and it weighed the same... the ram air should make a difference let alone the yank ss4000, and if the valves were floating wouldent it feel like its not pulling hard?

You have a disaster of a build so it is hard to pinpoint exactly what is causing your problems. So many parts are mismatched it isn't funny.

Some guys disagree with me but IMO Comp's incorrect rpm ranges make many of their spring recommendations wrong. Comp lists that cam to 6200rpm you already said you are turning it 6800rpm. That is a pretty big difference.

Far as your comment about springs and 100K miles stock springs are allowing float on stock cars at 100K that is why so many guys do springs and rockers on bolton cars. With aftermarket cams you generally can not leave springs in that long, they will break long before that. Most heads/cam setups guys probably need to be considering checking the springs by 15K miles or so. You are running something like 30% more lift than stock with a lobe that is more aggressive apples and oranges to a stock valvetrain setup and longevity.

There's alot of things here that just aren't right.
1. 383 on stock heads??? = Stock LT1's barely breathe through the heads. Now you added more cubes. It want's more air/fuel.
2. 4k lbs??? An Impala SS weighs 4200. I've had 3, 4th Gens and not one was over 3800lbs, stock, with my 170lbs *** in it.
3. 58mm TB. You're flowing more air into the intake than the stock heads can handle so you're losing velocity. Then based on the cam, which is designed for pretty extensive headwork, it's killing it.
4. The engine is built for boost. So of course it'll suck. Have you ever driven a turbo diesel without a turbo? 0-40mph in about 2 miles....downhill.

That big of a cam with that low of compression is killing you. This is like the old days in the 70's & 80's when guys would put huge cams in the crappy 350's that had 8.0 CR and wonder why they were getting smoked by 302 Mustangs left & right.
