Like the title says, I bought one so I can correct my speedometer on my '93.
The instructions make sense but I'm wondering what wire I need to tap for the speed sensor input? I could do it right off the trans but I think I heard of a different area to to do it because I want the module inside my car.
Any tips??

I chased the wire off the harness at the back of the cluster down to where it splits to the cruise control. I spliced in AFTER the split between the cluster and cruise control. This way the cruise will still work (reports of it not working with the altered signal if you tap in before the split).
I can get you the right pin number to trace when I get home from work tonight at midnight.
Couple of tips: Direct connect the thing to the battery (through a relay obviously). It's VERY finicky on voltage changes. Make sure it's got a great ground too. VERY finicky.

From my 93 fire bird service manual, speedometer wire is pin B12 on the instrument cluster connector. Should be top row 5th from the right. Yellow wire at the cluster that changes to dark green with a white stripe under the dash on the way down.
Just chase it down until it gets to the bottom side of the dash where you can splice in. A DVM with audio comes in handy to identify the correct wire. Will post pics from the service manual in a second.
