I think that is just what it is supposed to do. I drive a M6 so i'm not 100% posative. A new TC will fix it if i'm sure. If i were you that would be my first (next) mod.

Don't drive em but like to think i know a little about them.

PS> You might want to take that question to the Automatic section. You should have a 4L60e

Not sure off hand (never had to look at them). check out Thunder Racing and LMPerformance. Then remember those are big sites so you can prob find it a few dollars cheaper somewhere else

Not posative, but i think so. I'll look at some TC's and get back to you with some prices and some good ones.

You can get a bunch of garbage torque converters for cheap, but I highly suggest that you go with a good one first and foremost. My car got a cheapo $400 low-stall B&M, and it really sucks replacing mods.

I'm not totally convinced it's the torque converter, though.

Did you check over your ignition system? (opti, wires, plugs) Just a thought... how much power would you say you're losing?

TC was just kind of a guess without having more information. Could be ignition to by what were told now. Have you changed plugs, wires, since you have had the car? Stock igniltion box/coil?

Maybe bad fuel filter?

no i havent checked over the ignition.. i hope its not the opti because i dont have enough to replace it if it is.. nothings been replaced on it since i got it except for the tensioner which would have nothing to do eith this.. so no new wires or plugs. could be fuel filter.. how much of a prob would that be?? i wish my car would just run for a month with this stuff happening

Well plugs and wires can very in price depending on what you get. The wires i'm getting are $108 on Thunder racing but i think i found them cheaper in summit maybe. And the spark plugs are $2 a peice. Those are Taylor 10.4mm wires and NGK TR55 plugs. You can find replacements for cheaper.

The plugs and wires will take some time beucase of the engine bay setup. I think it took me an hour if i remember right. (Somewhere in there)

As far as fuel filter... (if its that) i'm not sure on cost but i know replaceing it isn't hard at all. I think their pretty cheap too.

Other then that, an MSD ignition box is i think $150 from summit (plus a $30 harness you have to buy for it) and the matching MSD coil is $40.

Hope this all helps. Remember I'm not 100% thats what is wrong with your car.

I also hope for your sake its one of those and not something seriouse. I would say to do the fuel filter first (i think its cheaper) and then try the other.
