Default Thinking of goin the efi 24x way.

So i been doing some thinking of doin the 24x lsx pcm swap on my firebirds lt1, my motor and trans are a 94, now i have a lsx pcm and the coil packs also 5 wire maf. Now i have some questions.
Will my transmission work or need to replace it with a new one?
What harness do i need to build my own for the swap and is there a how to on that.
Do i need anything parts for my motor to make this work.

I think thats about all the question i have for now

I did the conversion. If you have an auto, I believe the trans internal wirings and solenoids has to be upgraded to a 96-97 4L60E internals. I went ahead and upgraded to a new FLT 4L60E and be done with it.

The Trans internals needs to be replaced. Valvebody, and solenoids just need to be converted to work. I had mine swapped. Cost me $200.00. Also there is a DIY harness, I bought it, looked at it and wished I got the one already done, so I had a buddy (robsquickz28) do it for me. But all in all I feel confident that it will be worth it to never have to worry about an opti issue ever again and the tuning should be advantageous as well.

Yea i kinda figured the trans was goin to be a problem, i could look into have the parts swapped out or find a newer trans from work. What all comes in the diy kit, i looked on efi site and couldnt find much.

I did it about a year ago and i don't regret it at all. I just made a 700+ mile trip and didnt have to worry the first time about the opti spark.
