Power advantages with EWP
So on average how much power does a cam driven water pump rob? Just curious but ive heard coolant flowing issues with an EWP in daily driven cars.

It's no secret that EWPs flow less in the higher RPMs than their cam-driven counterparts but rarely does that cause a problem. I've been driving with an EWP for 8 year now, granted it isn't my DD now but it was for 3 years after I installed it and I never had a cooling issue.
You'll find some people hate them and others love them. I personally don't see a problem with DDing an EWP car, as long as you wire in a warning system (how-to's are all over the place).

I have one on my dd car. It actually cools the car so much better than the cam driven that I had to put the 185* t-stat back in it because the 160* wouldn't let the car get over 130* on the stock temp gauge. Car runs great, but the butt dyno didn't show any marked improvement over stock.

Thanks guys. I would imagine in a DD it cools it better at a stop light then it does on the highway cruising 3000rpm?! I notice the cam driven water pump hates low rpm because of the flow of coolant and the lack of cool air flowing to the rad.
