Passing Emissions in MD with Kooks Headers

I am debating installing either the emissions legal Kooks long tubes and Kooks catted y pipe or the egr and air removed Kooks and catted Kooks y pipe.

I am leaning towards the "emissions legal" Kooks headers but prefer the other method. If I delete the egr and air and have a good tune, will I still get thur MD emisssions? I have a 97 LT1 and have never failed before with the OBD II plug test.

If they don't do a visual inspection and you pass the plug-in test there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Thanks. They do not do a visual inspection usually, but I am worried if their computers will know that the egr and other trouble codes have been erased by a tune?

Nope. They check for codes, not investigate the computer.

I got mid length smog legal badge welded it over the pacesetter badge and now my longtubes are smog legal no egr or anything passes visual and sniffer with good tune and cats. In california

Guess I am ok. I will probably delete the egr and air, get a good tune to erase the codes and be ok.

I passed with long tubes, no cats, no downstream O2s, no AIR, no EGR, no EVAP and a good tune. They plugged it in, walked around it with a mirror not even looking, slapped me on the butt and said I passed.
