Loud catback exhaust for 97 lt1?

Loud catback exhaust for 97 lt1? Hey Tech, posting this up for my brother. He just bought a 97 z28 and looking to mod it a little. He said he wants a loud exhaust. I owned a ls1 T/A so i know my way around fbodys and told him he would probably like the slp loudmouth. But, slp only makes it for ls1 now and discounted the lt1 adapter.
My question is, what are some good catback exhaust systems that are decently priced and loud/noticeable? I had a magnaflow on my T/A and i liked it but he wants something louder.

And thanks everyone for the replies. I talked to him, if he doesn't go loudmouth, he'll go magnaflow with a cut out.

x2 I had a borla cat back on my 95 z28 lt1 with wide open plate it was plenty loud. Then added Long tubes and ORY pipe and that really opened it up!

Simply tell him to look under the car and he should see the factory band clamp just in front of the 'wavy plate' across the trans tunnel
edit: scroll down and you can see a pic comparing the 93-95 y-pipe to a 96/97 one. The 96/97 one already has the S-pipe that curves around to the trans tunnel.

The 'LT1 adapter' is the S-pipe that goes from the trans tunnel to the single cat (93-95 cars) under the passenger side hump. 96-97 cars got two cats and each respective outlet merged with an outlet in the same place as the LS1 cars' y-pipe. If its not in the exact same spot, its maybe an inch difference, if that.

He doesn't know anything about working on cars yet, so I'll be doing all the work and hopefully he can learn in the process. After doing some research myself, I did find that the rear hangers are different, so i'll be looking out for those for him.

I found the LS1 driver side bracket at a salvage yard for $5 with bolts and rubber hanger

I'm assuming the driver hanger bracket is the only part he needs? The rubber hanger/bolts/nuts are all generic parts that I can find anywhere in local parts stores?

If your brother will end up doing headers and ORY down the road he should consider hooker exhaust with the Aerochamber muffler.
It sounds absolutely wicked from inside and outside the car at WOT, hardly any rasp especially for a chambered muffler and its quiet enough to actually be able to talk to a passenger will cruising on the highway.
It might be a little tame loudness-wise with stock manifolds and cat but still sounds plenty aggressive.
The best part I like about the Aerochamber it my car doesn't sound like a friggin truck!!!
