If you plan to stick that cam in with stock heads i wouldnt suggest it and im sure LE wouldnt either. If you plan on stock heads i wouldnt stick anything bigger then that 226/232 110lsa cam in for best results. Im sure LE and many other will suggest that aswell.
holy vague statement.......AI makes a 230/238 that runs strong in stock longblocks
There is nothing at all wrong with that cam. I have several customers using a Comp 230-236-111. You will need a good torque converter to go with it. It certainly is not too big for stock heads.

Why that cam? I think thats the other one he suggested till I told him my stall speed. If it is the same one he said it would make alittle more in the 2-3g range but up top mine would make around 10 more hp. He said with my stall I wouldnt lose anything, makes sence. I will say this and I even told loyd I was going to go with AI but im sorry they offered NO help in cam selection.
I just don't really want to spin the crap out of my motor since its going to be my daily driver for awhile. I think his website said the operating range go's up to 6200rpms on the 226/232 cam which is what I like about it.
No I dont, I just see them all over the place used in the 150ish range, thats what I meant. I wanna say this cam is in the 6400 range. Im just so sick of reading cam threads...this cam that cam bla bla I finally just picked up the phone and tried to call AI but that didnt work so called LE and glad I did great guy to work with!
Keep in mind this is also a busy time of year for most shops/builders/etc.
I understand that but if you want my business...I want your opinion and not a email a week later saying there's info on the forums you ready to order?..Again im not tryin to bash AI cause I know they have great stuff cause I've done alot of reading but im happy with LE trying to really match a cam to my car thats all
