Back in 2011, Wicked94z modified my opti and put a cam sensor in it. I never opened it, but the pics he sent me shows a 4 tab wheel spinning under the rotor. The cam sensor connects to my gen7 Dfi. I run an msd crank trigger as well. Works perfectly.

I am actually thinking of stepping back, and using that sensor?? I have the capability of monitoring external temps with EFILive, and was thinking I'll put a "J" type thermocouple on the Opti housing to see what the actual temp gets to?? if it is below 250 should be ok?? and I do like that sensor better.

this is the temp range of that sensor,
-20°C to +85°C (-4°F to +185°F)

It will be questionable at best. any thoughts on the temp of the Opti housing when running, and see if this sensor has a chance of surviving??

I'm sure there probably is a internal temp difference between the vented Opti and a non. The vented is sucking intake temperature air into it at all times.

Today worked on the distributor, another couple of hours It will be ready to install. I have my cam, replacement Intake, Valve springs, 36lb injectors, Water pump extenders and drive, EFILive ready to start data loging. need to order Brass bolts to plug the Original LT manifold bolt holes. planning to start either, 8/11/14 or 8/18/14 depends on the 4L60E owners pockets
