Default IAT sensor relocation

I did the LS1 lid conversion along with a ram air ducting. Wheres the best place to relocate the intake air temperature sensor? Is it better up front forward as oppose to being placed between the throttle body and the air filter housing? Thank you in advance.

I got mine in the stock location that a ls1 uses (on the neck of the lid). Just extended the wires.

diddo, extend the wires use the factory LS1 location. If you don't want to extend the wires put it in the rubber boot between the lid and the TB.

When I had mine running I extended the wire and put it near the front bumper in front of my trans cooler. I figured that's where I'd be getting the coolest air

I think I would put it before the MAF, don't want any chance of a sizeable leak after the MAF.
