Default 24x tune numbers

Thought Id finally post up my dyno graph from my tune last weekend. Was hoping for more HP, arent we all, but it runs strong. It is night and day what a good tune can do to a car. I didnt make the 400 I was dreaming of but all in all Im very pleased from a performance standpoint.

My car, Thirsty

To reiterate. Dyno #'s are just a basis. It's only a tuning tool. But the curve looks good.

Do you mind sharing your head and cam specs? I need to find my dyno sheet to confirm, but I htink those are pretty much the same numbers I made with my LE set up. I am still using an opti, but it seems like the rest of our set ups are close...I'm not sure what converter and rear axle you have but I'm using a Yank SS3600 and a Moser 9"

EDIT - Found my dyno sheet, my best pull was 364/329

Sprayedlt1- do you have any time slips to see how that translates to real world performance ? And with your stall should be fun....
Edit add on-
Ascastil- with that 371 at the wheels- your prolly close to 450 crank....that's a heathy motor- is it stock cube still?

I made 376/377 with my 355 with afr 190 ported heads and le 223/230 cam. I had float issues at 6k and after I changed the springs I never got a chance to redyno it but for sure had some room for power above 6k where it should make its peak power. Fun car but parted it out to fund a new project.

My best pass to date was cam only before I swapped heads and intake - 12.0@117 I believe. I grudge race so the few times I've been to the track since the head/intake swap I havent really gotten a good time on the car. The one slip I got was like 12.3, and I dont recall the trap speed but it was slower than before. Im concerned that my opti is crapping out on me...and I have a lot of suspension things to figure out.

I wouldn't get to hung up on dyno numbers with an auto, for reference when my 93 was still an auto on a mail order tune, it only made like 370rwhp through an unlocked Vigi 3200 and 12 Bolt, similar torque to yours. When we did 24X, Kooks Stepped LTs and a six speed swap, the car was making 415rwhp.

Long story short, yes. It supposedly made 392hp on the same topend setup but I never got a dyno sheet. The tune was terrible which is why I switched to the 24x, to get a safe tune so I wouldnt have to worry about the motor blowing up. Terrible experience trying to get a 97 lt pcm tuned.

AI 200cc heads, AI 228/234, 610, 108 cam. 3.73 in the 10 bolt, 3000 stall.

Bad news though. Ive been having trouble bleeding the coolant system of air. Got a block tester from NAPA and it is indicating exhaust gasses in the radiator. 2 plugs on the driver side are squeeky clean white. I am almost certain I know what happened. I was having a buddy help install the heads. The head on the driver side scratched the gasket surface on install and Im pretty sure it must be leaking there. No oil in coolant, no coolant in oil. Must be a tiny leak for now. Ill pull the head off and put a new gasket on. I had it dyno tuned like this thinking it just needed to be bled. I shoulda known better. Oh well, it is what it is. Maybe I was loosing some power?

I made 374/324 with AFR 180 heads,230/236 110, Pacesetter mids 3500 stall. A scratch in the gasket shouldn't have hurt it unless it was DEEP and close to the cylinder I would think..

The "24X swap" won't make any more power, just get rid of the Opti and allow more than 7000 RPM.

IDK, you can only run a 1bar MAP on LT1 stuff, and I run a 3 bar on my 24x.

That means moooar powaaa

I should have said "if your NA".

If you have a boosted engine, it still doesn't neccessarily mean more power.

I have 2 bar LT1 PCM customers running around.
Never tried to hack one for a 3 bar.
