i need help for parts
I run the Lunati Voodoo 60122 in my 383 with factory CNC ported heads, it's an excellent street/strip mild cam for a 383 IMHO. Plenty of torque off idle and pulls hard to 6700 RPM. No cam surge, very streetable. For a street race, with drag radials, 4.10 gears it will blow 99% of cars (and a few bikes
) of the road except something pretty exotic or stupid powerful...not that I would ever do such a thing

9.75-1 is lower compression ratio than a stock engine. Was it built for a blower? It's going to be hard to make that one fast. With a decent sized cam it should be around 12-1. No need to buy premium fuel for it like it is. Guess somebody put dished pistons in it?

Not great, but better. Not knowing what head gaskets, deck clearance, etc, that would be hard to answer. For sure don't put AFR heads with 60something CC chambers on it! DUH!! LOL

Verdad Gallardo How much money you got to spend? You can go fast cheap just getting a nitrous kit, +150HP and some sticky tires. If you want the power all the time, as mentioned, good factory ported heads and matched cam is a proven combo which is what most people go with to make 400+ RWHP, there's nothing wrong with running an off the shelf cam if it fits your needs either... if you have plenty of budget, go for some ported aftermarket heads and make 450+ RWHP. The rest of the car has to be built to handle that sort of power and put it to the ground or big HP is of little use. Do LOTS of research before you buy anything.

I agree withthe N2O route as well if you choose that way. Also, the Hotcam loves nitrous. My wifes Impala ran 7.4x's (1/8th) with a 150 shot and a hotcam. And your F-body has a 600lbs advantage.
