Whats your da and race weight? If you get some good drag radials and get that 60ft down. You would be close too mid 12s. Far as cam goes. I would call ai or le for custom cam. You shouldnt need injectors for just cam swap.

I agree. Were you spinning, how do you launch ? Any idea what your shift points are ? These are worth a lot at the finish line.

PCM did the tune I shift it around 5800 and its full weight car I'm running 275/40/17 nitto 555r drag radials and I'm brake stalling it around 2000 rpm when I launch but this was my first time in a car racing lol I have rear drag shocks as well I am still spinning a little yes i don't think I was warming the tires long enough

Need get some lca and a real tire. Nittos aint all that great. Also try just bring rpm up above idle . Then stomp it. Back when my car was just bolt ons. It ran best shifting at 6k.

Next time try launching a hair above idle and stretch the 1-2 shift to 6k. I don't know the recommended tire pressure for the Nitto's but try to find out. I do know people say the need heated up well. Good luck, you should easily dip into the 12's.
Travis beat me to the punch, I type slow.

Also weight reduction is the cheapest mod. I ran 12.3s ay 108 with your exact same mods. Good luck with your quest for 12s

Set those Nitto's at 22psi for a starting point.

Thank you guys very much for the input.. So what do you think about a little insurance for that camshaft. cc503 cc306 or a xfi292. I know there is a lot of differences without arguing over which is better tell me what worked out best for you guys...then I'll try to base my decision thank you all for the time to help a brother out !!!!

The 503 is a good cam. Lots of people have had success with it.

With stock heads and SCR, you generally want to keep the intake duration no more than 225 or so. I would not select the 306 or 292xfi cam for your application, those peak at ~6600rpm and will be relatively lazy under the curve.

The XE 224/236 also works well in a stock engine when ground on a 112 lsa.

You might end up needing to swap injectors due to the fact that 1993 models have 22lb injectors stock. Back when I ran bolt-ons and a 224/236 cam in my stock engine making 355rwhp, my stock 24lb injectors were at 110% duty cycle. If you do swap injectors, all you are going to need is 28s or 30s, max. I think a set of stock 26 or 28lb injectors out of a LS1 or LS6 car would do fine.

Get the rest of the supporting mods, springs, rockers ewp etc first. Dial in the car and then throw the cam in with a new tune.

Get those shift points up to 62-6300 and you'll drop 0.3 probably.
