Default Best longtubes with emissions?

I'd like to get long tubes for my car but my county requires emissions testing. This includes a a visual inspection to make sure all emissions equipment is present. I can keep the car exempt from this requirement by driving less than 5,000 miles/yr but if I ever sell the car it's likely it would need to pass emissions testing.

What are my options for longtubes that keep all emissions equipment? Do I have any? Something with AIR fittings and high-flow cats would be perfect.

What is your budget? Kooks makes stainless emissions headers. The catalytic converters would not be in the stock location, if that matters. Their headers aren't cheap either. Same goes for Stainless Works.

I was hoping not to spend the kind of money that Kooks or SW costs, but it seems my options might be limited if I want to keep the emissions equipment. I'll have to decide how important that is to me, I guess.

I just finished putting a set of pacesetter longtubes on today with emissions. The fit seems pretty good on my car and they were pretty cheap...

You asked for the best, and Kooks are pretty much the best. Definitely pricey. The catted y-pipe they sell uses good quality cats (passed a CA sniffer at one time) and pass Texas inspection for me.

I have pacesetter headers on my car now, and previously I had Jet-Hot headers. I will NEVER make that mistake again. Coated headers will rust! From now on I will only put stainless headers on my car. JMHO

HUH? Pacesetters are mild steel not stainless.

Guess I should have been more clear....sorry.

Once I take the pacesetters off I will only put stainless steel headers back in. I in no way meant the pacesetters are not rusted, they are. For what I spent between Jet-Hots($500+) and the pacesetters($3-400 can't remember exactly) I could have bought a decent set of stainless headers.

For emissions style stainless, you're going to have to shell out money, unfortunately...

Why not just got for the exemption? Are you really that worried about the next guy? Most car guys know what they are getting into. Buy once and be done.

FWIW...I've got "armor coated" Pacesetters and they look brand new 5 years later, not a speck of rust.
