Default Comp Ultra Pro Magnum - Locks & Studs?

I'm currently running the SA 3/8" Comp Magnum 1.6 roller tip rockers with Comp hardened 5/16" push rods. I'm planning on upgrading to the NSA 7/16" Comp Ultra Pro Magnum rockers with Isky adjustable guideplates. Does anyone know which studs and polylocks I'll need and if it will be possible to retain the stock valve cover?

Thanks,
Jim

The rockers should come with the poly locks. Those rockers should fit under stock valve covers. Arp 7/16 studs for sbc will work

Jim

on Comp "Pro Mags", and assume the same for "Ultra Pro mags" you will need to trim part of the baffle inside the VC. No big deal. I just used a dremal with a cut off wheel. Took only minutes. Clean VC after to remove any metal shavings.

get ARP # 134-7103, 7/16" studs.

cut baffle on intake side of VC

ARP 135-7101 would be better for NSA, they have the guideplate locator shank. I run them with ARP 300-8245 Perma-locs and Comp Pro Mags under stock VC's with no issues, with the baffling mods already mentioned.

I called one vendor and asked about the poly locks. He told me they weren't included. Trimming the baffles aren't an issue. I'll check into these PN's. Thanks for the info.

yes Sparton I know they don't have the shank under the head...but with My ISKY adjustable they work great so I can slide/adjust them as needed. been on this motor for 10 years now. 1:6 Pro Mags NSA

If you are ordering new rockers the polylocks will definitely be in the box.

All my comp stuff came with poly locks, and the pinion only goes one way.
