Default 2 step and clutch switch wire?

Hey guys, I've had an MSD 6AL around for a while as well as a 2 step box and a module selector. I've decided to activate it off of a button and possibly in the future use the same button with a toggle switch for a line lock but fur right now just the 2 step. According to the diagram I'm using I still need to tie into the clutch switch. I'd really prefer to not have to tie into the heavy wires under the dash if I don't have to and I think on LS cars I've seen where they can tie into the clutch switch over close to the PCM. My question is are LT cars set up the same way and if so can someone more familiar with the wiring harness than I am tell me where to catch the wire at out under the hood?

I'm wiring according to this diagram. If there's a better way I'm open to suggestions. Thanks guys.

I have mine wired where a momentary button on the shifter activates the line lock. A separate toggle switch connects the 2 step to the same momentary button. This way I can use the line lock in the water box without the 2 step activating. I can then turn the toggle on and the momentary button will activate both the 2 step and line lock.

Hey, thanks brotha, that's pretty much what I ended up doing, I ran it to a momentary switch on the shifter and later I'm going to wire in the toggle switch and use that for a line lock as you did. Initially I was afraid that the button and clutch release coordination would be a struggle but after playing with it I've realized that it's not a problem at all. The real problem for me right now is finding an RPM to launch it at (on the street) that'll hook it without breaking the rearend or just blowing the tires off. I have a few upgrades in mind to do first but the rear diff has to happen ASAP. I can't stand the thought of it grenadine constantly in the back of my mind.

A balance of RPM and traction is difficult to find, if you find it please send me directions!

Haha, will do, Josh! Especially on the dirty street pavement! When I find it, I'll get your number and text ya! I played with it coming out at 3200 with the throttle matted and blew the tires completely off of it! Then tried coming out at 3200 part Throttle and bogged it. I wonder if I couldn't bring it out a little higher at part Throttle and hope for just a bit of tire spin and go.

I've wondered if I wouldn't be better off trying a bias tire in the back. Like a 26x 9.5 etc street. I just don't know if it's going to look too narrow on tht car compared to the 255/50-16 drag radials?

I've had 26x8.5's and they're tiny compared to the 28x10.5. With your 4.10's definitely stick with a 28" tire, unless a class rule prohibits it I'd stick with a 10.0 or 10.5 if your wheel allows it. I run the M/T 3055S which is an ET Drag 28x10.5 stiff sidewall, I also use tubes and rim screws. I got tired of the slicks always leaking down and tubes without screws is dangerous. The tubes keep psi much more cosisitant and they give a little added support to the sidewall of the tire.

Thanks Josh! I appreciate that! Old-school 10" Prostars on the back so your tire selection should be good to go!
