Default No injector pulse, no codes. Solved.

My lt1 will crank, I am getting fuel pressure. Not getting any codes. Using EEhack I dont see the rpms being detected, however on an old data log I did, I saw rpms as low as 97 on start up. All fuses are good, no wires are corroded. Throttle position sensor is working. Optispark and ICM we changed around 3000 miles ago. Engine died upon starting up.

I will updated this thread later on with what was the issue.

Update. It was just a faulty optispark unit.

Going through my old paper work of when I bought the car, about a year prior, the wiring harness and most electrical systems were replaced, but it doesnt look like they put in new spark plugs. I did some reading and apparently the stock lt1 spark plugs were gapped at .50. another site said gapped at 60 with iridium plugs for im guessing, emissions. I think what may have caused this optispark to go out was due to my plugs being so old, it isnt wanting to jump at the plugs an is instead arcing inside. Like with old distributers and carbon build up.

I've never heard of gapping plugs for the LT1 to .060. That's insane. I've always ran my plugs at .035.

Got around to changing the spark plugs. They looked old, but definitely not factory. They were all at around .05, besides one was around .55. They looked a little worn but no signs of any major issues. I bought new copper tipped plugs and gapped them to 40. I pray this fixes the opti spark issue. I have seen people go through one or two a year. The engine idles nicer now and I don’t hear any more, of what I believe were slight misfires.

As I was changing the spark plugs I kind of learned that changing them wasn’t as hard as people said they would be. I didn’t have to unbolt any thing, just had to come in at obscure angles

So I cannot seem to find this article thread again, but I would link it here if I could; I do think it was an older post on ls1tech though or ls1lt1. The thread was older and it was a guy talking about how the .050 gap for the lt1 optispark was way too much and seemed to cause the optispark units to short themselves out. He mentioned that it was just for emissions purposes only. So if any one else is having repeated optispark issues, gapping them down to 35-40 may be the simple fix.
