Mid lengths should be emissions legal. I wouldnt waste my time with shortys if mids could be had legally. Much more gain with mids than shortys.
PS - Luckily KY has no emissions, so I'm going LT.

I've got 93 style SLP's on my 1997 !
I love them, I did away with EGR and AIR so having these wasnt a problem. They fit great and woke the car up a lil bit, I like these over the 96-97 style because they are a single cat and are almost a mid-length header over the what I feel is a crap design for the 96-97 dual cat cars....
I'd say the SLP's are good quality !!!

To make them work you would have to buy the header EGR blockoff plate, and use the properly sized fittings along with a length of flex pipe to extend the Secondary AIR injection tube forward to the connection.
ALL LT1 heads from 92-97 have the same bolt pattern and spacing for the headers. The only major differences was emissions tubing locations and Y-pipe versions (single vs. dual cat).
94FormulaT/A's headers will work with your 93, you just have to do a little extra part work to get the AIR tubes set right. Or just block them all off and happy motoring.
