beginner mods...
Moroso cold air
1LE elbow
loudmouth or 2otl catback
pulley (march?)
BBK 52mm throttle body
Beginning mods are pretty universal....get air in and get it out. CAI & catback to start. The money you just saved by not getting the TB, pullies and elbow you can put towards some headers and get rid of the cats, EGR and AIR. Free mods like TB bypass, etc.
Gears, suspension suspension suspension. Torque converter if it's auto (Midwest has a good converter with great prices).
That's a good start....then aside from getting into the H/C/I and/or bottom end, it's a lot of little things ie. tranny cooler if auto, ignition or coil conversion, etc.

Here's a good thread on CZ28

What do you guys think about the loudmouth vs the 2otl? It was my understanding the 2OTL was a pretty good and popular system, yet the loudmouth will obviously flow better.
And what about everyones favorite TB airfoil? Do they really work?
Most catbacks will flow relatively close to each other with the exception of the Borla running open. Mainly it's a sound preference....try and find some sound clips and see what you like. GMMG is one of the best sounding IMO but VERY expensive for a catback.

I think the loudmouth is a great exhaust if you plan on mild mods and no longtubes. I figured the 2OTL would be a better alternative if you want to go with headers. My buddy has the loudmouth with longtubes and no cats on his 93. It's loud, but not as loud as my buddys 99 ws6 with the same setup. Definitly a different tone than the LS1 for sure.
Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to pass it on.
