I see 20/27. I am a 17 year old so i probably get the urge to accelerate faster more then most. I could probably get better gas mileage if i tried. I observe an average of 24mpg though everytime i fill up. Never less than 19.

Car is:
1995 Firebird Formula
A4 posi 2.73
63,000 miles

Mods are:
TB airfoil
Descreened Mas
Holley Fuel pump
Cold air intake
Jet Stage 2 Power Module
Big block cowl hood
3 1/2" cat-back
Underdrive pulley

Service:
Oil has been changed every 3k miles
Sea Foamed
Ran distilled alcohol through system
Replaced fuel filter
Replaced transmission mount

I just went 230 miles on a full tank! YES! That is the most I have EVER gotten the whole time I've owned the car.

And that was with A LOT of WOT runs....I was happy.

I have a M6, stock gear, Jet-Hot LTs w/ true duals, and a SPEC Stage 2 clutch

I usually get about 18-21 mpg while just cruising around, 26-27 while on the freeway and about 6-7 while open road racing at 170 mph

I just got 286 to a tank today. That's mainly back roads, a few miles on the freeway, and all kinds of hard accelerating and burn outs. So i got a little over 20mpg. It was like 13.6 gallons to fill it up.

94 Camaro LT1 A4, 3.42's ... I get about 190-210 a tank(highway and city) I've gotten about 240 or so on highway alone.
From what I've been hearing and reading, I seem to be getting real bad gas mileage compared to other cars

Are you sure you don't have a V6?

With my Auto i always shift into nuetral when i start slowing down. Its jsut a habit from all of my other cars being manuals. I also figure is keeps trans temps down, and i dont have to hold my foot on the brake as hard in traffic.

I got 14 (fun filled tanks) and about 16 normally when I had my LT1. That was with 100% stop and go driving. Not really city but a lot of traffic lights with lots of 0-45.

My mods for my old LT1 ( ) are in my sig.

I have an M6 and when it was running with 4.10 gears and if I baby it I get around 266 miles to the tank. I thingk one time it avg. out and I got crappy gas mileage but who cares, if I wanted a economical car I would have bought a Honda.

i get 12mpg one time i got 17mpg, i was on 1/4 mark so i drove without a/c and below 3k rpms. I drive 60 miles everyday. 80% highway 20% city. thats all the car sees pretty much. I hardly ever take it out on the weekends. Oh and i normaly drive "enthusiasticly", i do over 100 on the highway when i can. usually over 3k rpms. But still i shouldnt be getting 12 mpg

It's actually better to drive with the A/C on then with the windows down. Especially on the highway. The size of the windows and shape of the f-body will cause extreme drag with the windows down and reduce fuel ecconomy greater than with the A/C on. The f-bodies shape greatly contributes to it's better than average fuel ecconomy.

hmmm, I have never heard of that. Are you saying that we get better gas milage with the A/C on than with the tops off and windows down?
