Z8's I have the same headers and use a cut off sparkplug socket with a notched side, using a 3/4 stubby wrench. After that it just falls out of there(cussing and swearing)

The one collector that is on the floor wouldn't be the driverside would it? Mine is pretty much touching the driverside floor. You also might give a look at the clearance of the k-member with the passengerside header. I have a BMR k-member and one header tube is touching the rear innermost point of the frame stand of the k-member so the header is coming back off and the k-member getting notched just a bit.

are your motor mounts worn?
our driver side mount stretches, and the passenger side crushes, this makes the driver side collector raise up and hit the floor sometimes, and the passenger one hangs lower.
i had that prob and put in new motor mounts and everything lined up fine again.

ELLIS.........stop making me drool.......i want your engine! whens it going in?

Looks good Stefan ... better watch it, you might get accused of running 18* heads because of those stahl adpaters..

Stephan, did you use install the mottor with the headers on using the happy hooker. I have a happy hooker and was wondering how much of the engine i could assemble and still drop it thru the top. thanks.

WEll ah, seeing as it bolts on top of the intake, that'd be all of it.

Mounts are solid Moroso so I dont think that is the problem.

No I did not install it with the headers on it. I was just fitting them for the head studs when the pic was taken. Assemble the whole motor minus the fuel rails and it wil all go right in.
