Not a fan of the hotcam per say, but!!! a cam will definitely be one of your biggest jumps in rwhp next to heads or stroking. I'd say a Tq Converter with boltons is a waste of $$ but I could be wrong.

I'd say torque converter and gears before a cam. Just my 2 cents.

If you have 3.23s which I assume you do since it's a ws6 I wouldn't really bother with moving to a 3.73. To run a converter you're going to need drag radials all the time if you expect to hook. Personally I would go with the converter and hold off on the cam and get something bigger.

a converter will let you better use the power you have. so if you drag a lot or just want to go faster get a TC. if you want more power and sound then get the cam

Thats true but that cam is gonna take away some low end power which will hurt a car with a stock converter. Personally i'd never do a cam without doing a converter first.

I agree, the best results are when they are done in conjunction...stall and gears, heads and cam, or stall and cam. What are you looking for? More hp, quicker times, better launch, different sound, cost effecient?

Converter first. a torque converter is absolutely not a waste of money. Anybody who says so is probably an M6 driver

Well a torque converter won't give you more power however inconjuction with a sticky tire you can easily lose half a second off your quarter mile time.

Definately get a torque converter first. You will be amazed at how much this helps the car at the track.

I have a Vigi 3200, I drove it through Houston traffic, from West Houston to U of H daily. The car was 100% streetable, in an auto, a stall and some 3.73s on drag radials is an easy 7 tenths, proven, time and time again. Also autos can get real quick on the stock 10 bolts, different beast from an M6. 3 friends of mine, two TH350s, 1 4L60E have all hit 10s on 10 bolts. With my TA I can drive it around and never break 2K if I wnated to, 3K and I'm moving faster than most traffic. I think its just as streetable as the stock converter was.

Dam you figure all the A4 guys would have chimed in and said that the best mod for a auto would have to be a torque converter HANDS DOWN, gears will make your car seem faster but reality is they only show minimal gains 1 to 1 1/2 tenths in the 1/4 as for a converter its an easy 3 to 5 tenths and will make your car feel like you changed the gears. Pick a cam carefully , to me a hotcam with no stall will not perform well .
