Squinn or Tanner I "think" There is also Corda the super stock racer. Actually they would have the quickest. not sure who has the fastest. Might check Bonniville records and The Open road race boards

In GMHT a few months ago there was a Green Z28 with a LT1 Block but that was about the only thing that was LT1, he had a Rear distributer, Standard valve cover bolts(not center), and a Vortech Racing trim SC. Car was really sick, it had those Pro Stock Welds On it (The Gold and Crome Ones). Any way he was claiming the fastest LT1 in the world.

I know the Underdog has the fastest NA record. But I mean overall in drag racing. The green Z28 sounds kind of like Bradys car just he has different wheels and a turbo at the time. Chris is Z8 isnt he.

The Fastest LS1 on the Planet is that Black Convertabile with the intercooler in the back seat, and a turbo I can stick my head in. Its got the de-stroked C5-R Block. Ha the shifter is mounted on the Intercooler piping that runs down the middel of the car were the console should be. Friggen BADA$$

Matt Harlan is close on his tail running 8.56X with a turbo 346ci Firehawk.
man there is a lot of mis-information here. first chris sikora (Z8 on this board) has already gone 8.90s in his green LT1 camaro. YSi trim blower stroker. very cool car.
also Ronnie DUkes car is an LS1, not an LT1 so that is a moot point
lastly, Matt Harlan ran 8.52 with a 6 versus Duke's 8.52 with a 1 - and there is going to be faster turbo ls1s running this coming week down in La.

Chris Sikora's 1996 teal Z/28 holds the record at 8.93. Not sure if he has MPH honors. He did that with GM heads and intake as well.
Someone told me that they thought Vince McCauley from Ontario has run 8.80's but I thought his official best was 9.0's when the car crashed? Thoughts?

LT1 Record, not LS1. There will be a new record at thunder this year for the fastest LS1 easy. I was just curious what time to shoot for. Thanks.
