Default Help me find a replacement for my lil Hot Cam!

Tired of my lil LT4 Hot Cam. Dyno'd at FLP in Naperville, IL. last week and the car put down 375hp/350tq.

Cars specs:

95 TA
LT4 Hot Cam
1.6 rockers
LT4 ported intake
LT4 Stage 2 GTP heads
FLP stage 4
3400 stall
3:73 gears

Looking to upgrade the cam to something that will fully use the potential of these heads. Suggestions?

Looking for maybe a custom cam, springs, titanium locks and retainers etc.

Car is a weekend warrior, but I do take the family out so it needs to be streetable. Looking for a cam with my current heads that will put the car over the 400 mark with the stock short block.

Gonna probably stick with FLP for the tuning. Wasnt too impressed with my last tuner...

Suggestions? Maybe someone to do a custom cam for this car?

you're no where near realizing th full potential of that head/cam combo if you dont have headers and an upgraded exhaust. long tubes and true duals could be enough to throw you over 400.

Sorry forgot to mention the car has AS&M 1 3/4 headers, no cat and B&B Tri-flow with a cut-out. No problem in that department.

your numbers are very good as is, but yes those heads hold much more potential than what that cam will get out of them. so i say custom cam or the good ole CC306 honestly

Combination Motorsports will definetly hook you up...thats where I got my Cam. I suggest at least a 230 intake duration (CC306) maybe more considering your heads are pretty nice. I have a 230/242 in my 383 and driviblity is great...with awesome power! 360ish with stock heads...I would expect over 400 with yours. Good luck

236/242 in my 383. May be a bit much for a 350 but then again people are running the cc306 in stock bottom end. But i think that would definitely put you over 400

A 236/242 is nothing for a stock shortblock with the right heads. I ran that same cam on my stock bottom end, ported LT1 heads and the driveability was great. I have now upgraded to a much bigger cam 24X/25X cam and it drives great too. It all depends on the stall and the tuning. Dont get me wrong, if you dont have a tuner who knows what hes doing, lay off the big cams.

NoFear.......we have allready talked about this

From what I've been reading that is the key, getting the stall and the right tune. Thats the only way you can tame these big cams. Smkn, I've heard your cam. It idles awesome and you dont even know it a big cam until your driving it around. If you can make that big boy work, Im not worried.
