Default Which's better? lt4 hotcam or cc305?

I have both and was wondering which of the two cam's are better? I have a 93 Trans-Am automatic transmission with orignal factory engine with no EGR or A.I.R. pipe and has headers with 2.5 y-pipe with off road pipe. I have a new 97 lt1 engine with future plans of having the heads stage II port and polished with intake stage III ported and 30lbs injectors. In any case any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

I have the LT4 Hot Cam in my Vette and its OK . The CC305 is slightly bigger and people seem to make more top end power with it. A better choice would be a better cam like the CC306 IMHO. I wish I had went that route.

cc305 and 306 and hotcam are some old design cams, if you go that route get the GM847 cam very nice lots of people running it with heads even just the cam with stock heads.
or go with one of the XE cams. Please i used to have cc305 and those cams are just simply old design.

CC305 is better than a hotcam IMO. CC306 is better but I went with a custom cam from rev xtreme to meet my needs!

I don't think that any of these suggestions are of any good without knowing your goals for the setup....
You need to be VERY specific when dealing with cam selection.

Why do you want to stay small, you took the egr stuff off the car so its not like its going to pass smog. Get a larger cam now since your getting heads any way, CC306 and and an 847 both are fine on stalls above 2800+.

Hey guys thanks all good advice, But to sum it all up, I bought a fairly new 97 lt1 which I am going to try and rebuild , IE# ported heads, with ported intake, 2.02/1.60 exhaust/intake valves, 58 mm T/B, bigger injectors. since I already have the lt4 hotcam and the cc305 cam I thought I'll use which ever would be better for the engine. Don't want to run into any problems .
