Whats with the LT1 hate?

Whats with the LT1 hate? Before the rant begins, lemme say that this in no way applies to the LS1 owners on this site, because most of, if not all of them are very cool and have respect for LT1 cars. But OMG the past couple weeks, random punks in Houston with their LS1's are driving me crazy with the disrespect. Tonight was the third time this month a LS1 owner has talked trash about my car. Im at a light tonight minding my own business, when a LS1 SS pulls up next to me (sounded very nice btw 
) and starts in. Both our widows are down, and he yells over " Hey, that a LT1? to which i reply SURE IS. Then he proceeds to tell me that I should get rid of my pos LT1 and get a LS1, and starts to go into a history lesson about how much better LS1's are than LT1's, and Im just staring at him with a I dont give a fu*! look on my face.
About half way through his yackin I turned my music up about as loud as I could and looked back to the front, and put my hand up to my ear like I couldnt hear him
. Light turns green (FINALLY!!) and he takes off, no point in me trying since my car only has a cai and exhaust, but oo well. Sorry about the rant, but all the hating is getting to me

My brother in law has an LT1 SS, and boy, is that thing mean. Im pretty sure he'd kill most LS1's out there. Some people are just idiots. Dont let them get to you. For every idiot LS1 owner out there, talking trash, there are 3 or 4 hesitant to race you. Just a matter of maturity. Cool car, by the way. 
I hate hearing. I bet you wish YOU had an LS1. Thing is...I have NEVER lost to an LS1 F-body in my Vette
And another thing. Seems most of the LS1 guys that say that are punk teenagers/college kids living off mommy and daddy.

Well, I own both types. The LT1 is in my wifes Impala SS, I have an 02 Z. She has had alot of LS1 guys, along with Mustang guys talk trash to her about the LT1. I do too, but it's in fun cause I built her car and I know she can smoke me. She can quickly give them a lesson in the viewing of her custom license plate "BAD94SS". Granted, stock to stock the LS1 is badarse, but with just a few mods to bring the LT1 up to where it should've been from the git-go will put any LS1 owner in his place. The LT1 was only the beginning of the revived hp race. Improvements were made but IMO the LT1 is GOD...stronger, more reliable (ex the opti), and can be modded to surpass the LS1. All it takes is the right components.

Yea Dave, but the punks will start sayin that you have 396 cubes, sb2.2 heads, yatta, yatta, yatta. Then when they beat someone they brag... Friggin punks. Whats bad is if they knew as much as I forgot about true hp motors (426 hemis, 468 BBC, 429 Ford tunnel ports, SBC's runnin n/a 8 sec.), they might get somewhere.
I've actually never cared what anyone thought about my car. It makes me happy, I'm happy with what I've done to it. That's all that really matters in the end. Most people say they don't want to live their lives according to someone, but if you let them get to you when they're **** talking, or do something just for spite, that's exactly what you're doing, letting someone else run your life. Just my $.02

Personal opinion I like the LT1 over the LS1 and nothing will change that. I personaly think that they are better as someone else stated. But if i had to do it all over agian...... **** i would buy another LT1

i like the hatred that ls1 owners throw at me. saying if i did the samething to my car i would smoke you. or that when all ls1 guys justthink that they drive a ls1 that they will smoke all lt1's on the street. the only ls1 that i have lost to was one that was squeezing on me. that was about it.
but you guys have to love the fact that a lt4 hotcam can take out the ls1's 588+ lift cams. i laugh when i see that ****

yeah theres plenty of **** talking going on is north cali also. most ls1 ppl I know are either cool or have slower cars then me. its mustang owners that i HATE. i know everyone else here knows what i mean

He might beat you in an extended drag race, but take him out for about 10 hot laps at your nearest road course. If his LS1 isn't overfilled with 1-1.5qts of extra oil, you'll take him by lap 10 as he blows up--assuming you can see through his smoke. LS1's drink a lot of oil.
LT1's have their own issues, but so do LS1's.
I like both, but with the $$ I saved on my LT1, I can do enough mods to put a whoopin' on any stock LS1 and toss him a few extra bucks out the window as I drive by.

I own a '94 and an '02. 
Love 'em both!!!! If I had to pick one it would have to be the '02 ,but I will still keep the Lt1 in storage for a full resto 15-20 years from now. The '02 'Hawk is pretty much my garage queen 
and whipping stick 
and I'll keep it forever too.
