Which headers??

Question Which headers??

Ok, so I am about ready to buy some long tube headers and the best two that I've seen are http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WD1V and http://fasttoys.net/shop/product_inf...roducts_id=872 . I've heard somewhere that hooker and jet hot headers are practically the same thing so would the hooker headers be the better deal? Also it's proboly best to get a custom y-pipe made at a local exhaust shop...right? Thanks.

i heard that the slp long tube headers are really good but they r expencive

I heard from a buddy that the SLPs aren't good with ground clearance. I haven't seen'em on a car so I dont know personally. Anybody know first hand?

i may be wrong but im pretty sure that they dont make SLP Long tubes for LT1's. i think they only make shorties and midlengths

I have Jet Hots and they are a quality set of headers. I would recommend having a custom y-pipe made (I have the Hooker / Jet Hot y-pipe and I really don't like it - having some trouble with it hitting my torque arm). If I had to do it over, I would probably get Kooks (full stainless steel).

Yea, I've heard good things about Jet-Hot Headers but what about the hooker headers?

PACESETTER, A friend has them on his LS1 and I am going to order them for my LT1. THey were an awesome finish and great fit. Just don't get their Y pipe, have a custom one made.

I have a pacesetter Y-pipe (with full-length headers), I don't see anything wrong with it. Fits nice, ground clearance is tight, and it hasn't rusted or anything yet. I guess for $100+ it would be cheaper to have one custom made.
