Default Intsalling SVO 30# injectors, and have ? about clips>>>

I have the injectors seated, and ready to put back on the intake, but the stock clips (the clips that hold the injector to the fuel rail) aren't fitting. Is there a trick to this, or will I be okay without using them? Thanks.

When I put them on mine I threw out the clips. When the rail is bolted down the injectors are retained under tension into the bungs and will not leak or blow out. But if you take the rail loose then pressure up the system it will blow them out of the rail.

I was able to reuse mine. I'm sure they arent necessary, seeing how everything is bolted down, but they fit so I said why not.

I reused mine on my Vette when I upgraded to 30 lb/hr injectors. I am running Accels not SVOs

i dont use the clips because they are gay, after all once the injectors are in the intake, and the fuel rails are bolted in, those injectors are not going anywere

I guess you guys like hassels when you pull the fuel rails again. Some staying in the intake and some not. The clips are too easy. The SVO's have 2 slots for clips on the tops. Use the upper slot...voila!!! once pressure is applied, they seal and you're done. Then the next time you pull the rails, they all come up with it and not pull out of the fuel rail and DUMP GAS ALL OVER YOUR INTAKE. I don't find NOT getting fuel all over my engine very "gay". Especially on an F-body where you don't have much room to start with.
