I am running Jet Hot longtubes which are basically the Hooker longtubes with jet hot coating. No complaints here. I would go ahead and spring for longtubes rather than shorties.

I have uncoated hooker long tubes, no complaints here. You'll have to have a new Y pipe made for them. The only minor problem I have is that on the passenger side header is very close to the HVAC unit, and 2 of the pipes hit it under acceleration, so it would be a good idea to put a piece of that heat tape that looks like aluminum foil there, to keep from cooking the plastic like I did.

many many many people get jet hots. They work good but tend to have coating issues. Then again pretty much any mon stainless header will. Kooks look GREAT, but are expensve because they are stainless. Hookers are very good and a lot like jet hots. I have yet to hear anything bad about TPIS (again other then coating) but they are known to be one of the best to install and have the best ground clearence.

Kooks or Jet Hot/Hooker. With pace setter, you get what you pay for so beware (I have a set so I can rag on them) the welds are pretty poor and the y pipes are junk.

Pacesetters are like 384 for a coated long tube with smog hook ups, real tempting. I have never installed a set though, so cant tell you if its any different in that froma standard Hooker long tube

Whatever you do, stay far, far away from the Edelbrock shorties. Far away. Do a search on them, you'll see what various members besides myself have had to say about them.

I'll be going with Kooks SS LTs on my next LT1 if that's of any use to you.

I've been looking a mac mid-length headers. For the price they seem pretty decent.

If i did it again I would get kooks. I have jet hots now but the coating sucks and just rusts off in a year
