I was wondering if anyone knows everything you need to install a 2004r tranny into a 95 lt1 motor with obd II computer, or is it cheaper to get my tranny rebuilt then put back in.

Deff be cheaper to stick with the 4l60e, the trans mount and torque arm mount are different I believe for the 200R4. Plus 200R4s arent cheap at all for built ones. 1995 is also OBDI, but it still has the computer controls in the trans. Be better off sticking to what you have now.

the big stuff is you need a 93 throttle bracket because it has a tv cable provision, and the crossmember needs modified and you would have to have the auto tuned out of your pcm as for the torque arm i have no idea
i have a 95 lt1 that im goin to run a 700r4 behind because 4l60e's are expensive as **** for built ones i would have went with a 200 4r if i didnt already have a tc its a better tranny over all.

If you are going to be pushing big power, the 200r4 is your choice. It can be built a lot stronger than a 4l60e, and you can actually put a trans-brake in it and not have it self destruct. Also, parasitic losses are decreased with the 200r4 and it's lighter.
If you get the tranny, you will probably need to get it with a manual valve body (reverse manual would be best) because the main issue will be getting the thing to shift I'm guessing.
Either way it would solve that problem and you could shift your auto. Flexplate, TC, flywheel, modify crossmember, are some other things just off the top of my head that will be needed.

All the major players in the 200R4 and 700R4 trannies rate them to the same max power so I don't know where this 200R4 is stronger stuff comes from. The loss of the pcm control and it's accuracy and flexibility will diminish any weight and parasitic loss advantage the 200R4 might have.
The single biggest problem with thr 700R4 line of trannies lies not in the tranny but rather the rebuilders who say they can build it but can not.

I've installed a 350 with a 200R4 in a 1980 Supra. I have to install a converter lock up kit on the 200R4 . It's an older unit and I'd like to get this right the first try. Any recommendations?

who here has heard of stock eliminator? yes no? anyway they runs 10s, with just a cam.. on stock heads... of course there are numerous other mods, but they use 200s because they are small and have very little rotating mass, Plus a vicous low gear compared to th400s th350 etc.
