Default who has the fastest head and cam only lt1

I want to know who has the fastest h/c lt1 and what kind of heads are they using and what cam if possible.... just being nosey, I want to buy heads for my 383...want more power...

Advanced Induction or Lloyd Elliot can help you pick a good setup for your 383.

check speed inc. web site, look for a video of a green camaro, Jay's car. it holds the record for a stock bottom end heads/cam only LT1. I remember the car going 11.1 @121. i do believe it has gone faster. these are only port LT1 heada also, no exotic AFRs.

mines got TEA stg 2 LT1 casting hyd roller 233/239 been 11:7's@117 with just a base tune

In your movie (at your sign) I saw 24X/25X dur. and 600+ lift cam.. Is that wrong? Now You say your cam 233/239

the first cam when it was built last june was a 233/239 with this cam it went 11:7's

then it had a 245/254 in it until just a week or so ago and i changed it again

still havent ran it since the 233/239

i am very curious to see the changes in the 2 cams. I have a 383 with TEA stage 2 heads and a 230/236. Im looking to go with something larger now.BTW my set up ran a best of 11.9@118.43 with a 1.84 60 ft

If I remember right Steve Quinn ran a 10.5 with just ported LT1 heads/cam/stock bottom end

Steve Quinn has the stock bottom end title, I wonder what the East Coast car runs on motor, its been 9.8 on a 150 shot, stock bottom end

so it sound as TEA has great prices for the horsepower given, going to look into stage 3 TEA
or some work from ERIC BRADBY

hard to drive is this thing stopped trying to turn the wheels ( no manual rack or PS)


drive ability isnt an issue as i got a daily driver.

i had an opti crappin out on me again ( so i thought ) and i went ahead and tried another cam the second cam 245/254 was just as strong as the org but held the power just a bit longer... this is still on a base tune still is missing the full dyno tune... so who really know which one was better

i wouldnt be afraid to run the 847 in it if not bigger just depends on how radical you wanna go

I see,but there is a big duration difference between 2 cams.. Wouldn't you try to get a 23X/24X cam ?

i got a bad habit out just trying off the wall stuff.... never thought about small movements going up hill i went to the top and am now backing it down a bit. after a true tune i will know if i wanna stick the bigger cam back in it

on the 233/239 it made 418/399

With a 23X/24X cam I think you can see ~450rwhp without a bad drivability

i have a 383 with a 234-246 dur..... and its a great daily driver but, then again it's a 6spd
