Pacesetters are the cheapest, you can get them for around $300 and they sound nice. If you have the money I'd go with hooker LT's which run for around $600. Whatever you decide to go with, go with coated, my buddy has uncoated and they are rusted.

Someone had a writeup on the pacesetters vs. the hookers. The pacesetters are much better for the money. I believe the tubing on the pacesetters was thicker also. Youll have to search for it. The uncoated pacesetters are 285 through summit. Not sure about the coateds, 400 and something.

I really like my jet-hots, $500 for a pair of ceramic coated LT's is a damn good price too.

I run mac-mids, and they are great headers, but eventually I will be going with Jethot Lt's or maybe Kooks.

i have pacesetter mid length headers, i cheaped out and did the 1500 degree paint instead of ceramic coating them, the paint all burned off within a couple days (smelled horrible) but no rusting yet. i drive her everyday. i am very pleased with mine tho, got a lot more pull from them. i got them on ebay for 275 with a y pipe

Do you get any more power having hooker headers over pacesetters? Or is it all pretty much the same?

If you wanna drop about $800 for stainless steel Kook's, and another $200 or so for a Y-pipe then go ahead....that's what I did. I don't regret spending over $1000 for a header setup, because I know I have the best Plug access is the best out there, my car is lowered and will not scrape ANYTHING as long as you drive SLOWLY over bumps, etc..

BTW when my car only had intake and exhaust it was trapping 97mph...with Kooks 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" , 3" ORY and cutout it's trapping nearly 102mph. Same track, but I'll admit temp conditions were alot better when I ran with headers.

Got the Pacesetters on my LT1 and they are great! Best mod I ever did to the car, you will also need O2 extentions with these headers.
