Default Best logging program for the LT1?

I was planning to get some tuning software for my car soon, and wanted to know what you guys think is the best data logging program to use with that. I've heard of Autotap, and scanmaster, and a few others.

Do they all show the same stuff or are some better than others? Also if I could get one that isn't VIN locked and doesn't cost a whole lot that would be a plus.

Datamaster is really nice for logging, can do 20 free logs with the trial version:

That is hands down the best, I have never heard anyone even argue it.

Also, do you have to buy their cable with that program or will any ODB-I cable work (AKM, etc.)?

An AKM will be perfect.
