what is the normal idile for a 97 lt1 mine idiles at 1100

About 900-950 for me, I have a 94 though, not sure if that makes a difference.

It could vary because you can tune it for different rpms and set it to whatever works best for your setup.

at first it runs about 1000, but after I've been driving awhile it'll sit at 2000 for a little while and then drop down to 1000. I've always thought that my pcmforless tuning made it do that, but I could be wrong.

My 97 is pretty stock and idles at 900-950.

Any mods? PCM work? Are you going by a stock tach or something remotely accurate? As mentioned already M6 or A4 will matter, as would in or out of gear.

Yeah mine is about 1100 in park. Goes down to about 900 in drive.

mine idled at about 950...I wanted to idle it up a little though so it didn't sound so silent at idle, but the cam install and new exhaust setup is gonna change all of that

Depends on if it's auto or manual. I think autos in gear are supposed to idle around 650.

cold start 1100 RPM
worm 900 RPM and if it's auto and shift in Drive it goes down to 800

the car is a 97 m6 it stays at 1100 all the time i just bought it and the only mods are an cai and the 1le elbow

I think mine is about 1100 in park when it's a cold start up, but then it drops to about 850 or so...

When I first start my car, it idles at 750-800. I just just checked it about an hour ago to make sure. I have a 94 Z28 A4.
