I dyno'd 224 rwhp with just a catback and a K&N intake, not to mention the 319 rwtq. the torque is probably the only thing that keeps me up with cars from low rolls, I do get pulled on top end by LT1s but not by much, LS1s on the other hand pull me pretty good.

The LT1 that I beat was an automatic with exhaust and probably a K&N or some other form of CAI, when I say I beat him pretty good it's not like I destroyed him. What happened was it was a 30-35 roll and I jumped out a car ahead and just barely started to get away up til about 70-75 then it stayed even and by about 90 I was slowly losing my lead.

You're actually pretty close about my trap speeds in the 1/4, I ran a best of 13.72@100.7 MPH with a 1.97 60'. Another thing about my trap speed in the 1/8 mile, I actually ran a 9.04@79.6mph in the 1/8 mile before my drag radials with like a 2.176 60' time, so I actually trapped higher before my drag radials for some reason or another.

But rest assured, I won't be a turd gen mullet guy for long, because I'm selling my third genner and buying a new 6-speed SS

The reason why you trapped higher before putting drags on was because you was spinning and spinning tends to raise your mph a bit. When you put the drags on, you was hooking and your time went down but so did your MPH. Ask anyone who's put slicks on their car, they will tell you their time went down but so did their mph since they gained traction. Good luck with the SS.

I just prefer the updated front end. And you get to put halos on the headlights....which I love.( and have) Also....the grills look much better when you go billet IMO

I think it is mostly the stock rims that kill those cars.....they belong on the v6 only...I dont know what in the hell gm was thinking with the shooters.

But a bone stock 93-96 z28 with shooters wouldnt make me turn my head in the least bit...just not a very striking car at all.

I guess I went overboard with the hidous thing....its an f-body....so I like them all....sorry man
The side moldings? You mean the things on the side, that prevent door denting? (from people opening there door into your car by accident) I don't know the exact name of it.

I'm glad you understood my point. That SS will be a nice ride. Be safe.

I wanted a 91-92 L98 with all my heart for the longest time. Just sucks they never came with a manual.
They are more rare than a damn lamborghini in my area. I may have seen 3 or 4 in my lifetime around here.
I would give anything for a nice clean black 91-92 z28 with an ls1 6 speed. I almost had one that was in tennessee and they wanted 8 grand for it....but I couldnt come up with the money in time
My dream car.... black 91-92 z28, lowered an inch or two with chrome zr-1's, ls1 and 6 speed, true duals. One day....one day

Yeah...I think the cars look much smoother without them on. Most call them sidemoldings....but yeah they will help prevent door dings.....but I never park next to anyone.

Yeah, I agree with you. I had them removed on my old car when I had it painted.

It's sold now. A lot of people told me they liked it though. I just got tired of everything being so old and out dated looking.

I beat modded WS6's last night and SS's at the track. I ran a 13.4@103.57. Although the drivers could have been bad, a win is a win. I clipped them when they ran about 13.5-13.6 all night.

Really? What are your mods? Do you have an A4? That's a pretty nice time.

Full bolt ons except for sticky tires, electric water pump, and a torque converter. Once I get those I'll be about a 12.6. The WS6 I beat last night had a short throw with a lid, and the SS had a catback and a lid. Yeah I have an A4

I had a full tank of gas and everything in the interior. I wonder what I would have run with a 1/4 tank of gas and a gutted interior.

Default Lt1 Vs Ls1

I have a93 speed density Z-28 a4 cai 58 mm tb flow master exhuast ran a 13.53 at 101mph. I like this year because you can manually shift that year was the only non electronic transmission. The LT1's stock for stock are slower but I would say with my mods my time is about on par with a stock Ls1 car. Me personaly the Lt1 cars are btter looking in the front. The ls1 looks like a cat fish in the front J/K

The LS1 is a motor, not a body style. He said the LS1 looks like a cat fish in the front, but in reality, the LS1 is a motor, not a body.

Oh, I thought he was ditching the LT1 at first. I assumed he was saying the LS1 looked like a motor, unlike the LT1 or something. I'm all cleared up now.

I like the ls1 Camaro, just like the Lt1 front end better than the Ls1's.

I think the front end of both leave a lot to be desired.

Both cars look much better with a nice hood.

As for the catfish thing....whatever....you lt1 guys wont be seeing much of that anyway...and the rear of the cras look about the same.

It does look like a catfish, but that isn't a bad thing. I see the front end of the 98+ camaro's all the time. Can you say v6? lol
