Very nice, Still running stock bottom end I persume. We should see more H/C cars running 10's NA. I may have overlooked you setup while scanning the thread but, could you tell us a little about your setup Gear setup, etc Also what is done to the intake. For a 3500 pound car and stock cube to run 10's you have a Great running setup. Sound like you have a 109 LSA on that thing, BTW I bet your lift is below .600 and I would think a high 240 duration cam. I figure you want to rev this thing past 7,000 RPM since you are getting the Gen 7 setup and haveing Joe tune it, makes perfect since to take advantage of the cam.

Then again my predictions are probably way off, lol

Here you go,
ported intake with ported stock heads
Not a 109
Lift is well below .600
Less duration than that
Not reving near 7000, bottom end wouldn't handle that. I shift around 6500
Joe is a good friend and the gen 7 is for great streetability
4.10 gear in a moser 12 bolt, ATI TH350

what people dont understand is if you get the combo right..You dont need to spin it to the moon to make it run....no tricks on this one guys....stock lt1 intake and heads ported ofcourse and a hyd. roller....4.10 gears and a 3800 stall.... shift points occur at around 6500.... Its still a street car for all intended purposes.... just not your average one!

You dont honestly think for one minute I'd run a old le3 cam I designed in it do ya?????? things do change

So you didnt have to spend 1500+ on AFR heads, you just ported the stock ones? Whats the price for doing that? And do they compare to AFR heads?

Very much appreciated, Quickshot. I'm going to try and represent the stock bottom end LT1's out here on the west coast. You seem to have things covered over there

NICE . I wasn't aware of the Specs of the LE3 cam but I didn't figure I was too far off with my guessing. Then again I new Joe would design a new grind for to match your setup of Course. How many miles on this stock shortblock if you don't mind me asking. Quickshotkimber where does your car make max power at. I know you shift at 6500 because of the stock block.

Joe this may be a rather dumb question since you work at crane cams(What I Heard) but what cam profiles do you like and do you use other brands like say COMPCAMS, lunati, etc.

Just trying to learn from some guys that now what the hell there doing, lol

I dont work at crane but i do work along with them in thier engine builders program...as far as cam companies go all represent well, comp, crane, cam technique, cam motion, erson etc.... thier are many, and among all those mentioned have top performing cars backing them..so I'd say its personal choice as far as brand....Lobe design varies among them and its easy to get hung up on what is the best lobe design to use, let alone duration and lobe separation, or even where to install it in the motor as far as advance/ retard... Trust me it isnt really magic, most that design custom cams really have just alot of r&d ,its not as if they have a phd in cam design as some like to make themselves out to be... they have a alot of trial and error and just knows what does and doesn't work...
