Question Upper rpm help

I have a 1995 Trans Am with a few mods. Cold air induction, headers, catback exhaust, Jet stage II module , Lt4 knock module, and a desrcreened Maf. What would help my upper rpm range that is not real expensive? Ignition, roller rockers , camshaft?, any help is appreciated.

At what rpm is it loosing breath? 5700 is normal for stock camed motors. What is limiting your upper rpm power is the cam, but a cam swap could be costly. High ratio rockers will increase power throughout the range, ignition on these cars is not that bad. A hotcam kit has is a cost effective upgrade that will give decent power.

Do you think the roller rockers and new springs are worth it even without a new camshaft?

These aren't LS1's... If you feeling you are loosing top in welcome to the LT1.. While it pulls hard out of the hole it really falls short up top... on thing you might consider are new springs... I mean your car is 11 years old... yeah i have an 95 LT1 too.. runs strong but i'm sure my valves are floating up top... So a spring change might help a little. Roller rockers are known to be very helpful at added a good deal of HP/TQ all around. But if you already have headers and intake I really can't think short of taking your valve covers off what you could do...

Hot cam... A good kick in the pants over your stock cam but weak comparted to many aftermarket.. You might look into the Hot cam kit, RR, springs, cam for a decent price but this is still pretty expensive.....

Lastly if you haven't done it a T/B bypass could maybe give you a few ponies... colder air = more power.

You mentioned floating valves. What could help in this area?

New valvesprings.

What kind of headers do you have? Get a pcmforless tune from Bryan Herter. Its a "personal" tune since he is setting the perameters for your exact mods. The RR's are a great mod! Id reccomend them to anyone.
