Default Holy moly unexpected high dyno batman!! 300/341!

Hey guys. My car is a '94 LT1 with:

Dynomax bullet muffler catback
!cat
!TB
!MAF screen
"1LE" elbow
LT4KM
4.10s
SFCs
Lots of poly

This bitch put down 300 rwhp/341 rwtq on a dynojet set in 'standard' mode. She put down 269 rwhp on a mustang dyno. God I can't wait till we tune her next week

That run was her first of the day and she was stone cold with fans blowing on her in good air.

I wish I had dynographs to post, but won't until next week.

Are those some freaky numbers or what??? We did several runs to back this one up, and the numbers fluctuated only with temperature, and his dyno is very accurate having just dynoed a bone stock ls1 at 307 rwhp.

unless of course your auto (you have an a4 right) downshifted while on the rollers creating a torque spike. Kinda like my friends stock Marauder supposedly put down 300rwtq when it was completely stock. None the less good #s

Sedan look at his sig. Those are some very high numbers for your mods, no cats a muffler and a elbow and your making that much, car must be a monster.

It's a 4 dr sedan made by Mecury. available in 2003 and 2004. THey have the N/A 4.6L DOHC motor and they make 310ft lbs of tq at the flywheel. Hence the reason why I stated that because for it to make 300ft lbs of tq at the rear wheels it would only have a 3% drivetrain loss (not possible) or it had a torque spike from the car downshifting into a lower gear while on the dyno.

And the car in my sig is a Buick BTW.

Hard to say how good the numbers really are without knowing what the car put down SAE. I would guess the numbers are still very good, but are probably around 290. Post the corrected numbers.

Pretty impressive. But the mustang dyno numbers are real world numbers. So I would lean more towards those numbers if I were you. Only because when they run it in mustang dyno mode, the car actually has a load on the rollers/resistance, which is alot more realistic.

Just as a comparision.

Here is what i pulled earilier thisyear with my bolt on car.

288 RWHP 291 RWTQ (Numbers performed on Mustang Dyno)

301 RWHP 315 RWTQ (Dyno-jet simulation on Mustang Dyno)
