Usually 3.73's for A4
and 4.10's for M6

I really can't speak for the 3.73's... but when I installed my 4.10's the smile didn't leave my face for a long time. It really woke up the car & made it a blast to drive!

I'm sure other's will chime in who have A4's with the 3.73's.

Well I went from 2.56s to 3.73s in my Roadboat and I think the smile on my face didn't go away for like 8 months. It literally made my car feel 1000lbs lighter when it was accelerating. If I didn't drive on the highway a lot, I would have gone with 4.10s

If you're having a hard time hooking up, I think more gear would hurt cuz you'll be turning the tires more and creating more traction problems. You may also want to think about the power band of your cam. I do not know the power band on the CC305 but with a 4.10 gear, you'll reach the top of your power band sooner and change gears. With a small cam, you could run out of gear with a lower ratio.
